Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have made their feelings on Jurgen Klinsmann potentially being their next manager clear after a report from The Daily Mail said he wants to replace Mauricio Pochettino if the Argentine leaves.
The 47-year-old saw his team chucked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two Colchester United on Tuesday night, and it completed a difficult week in which they were beaten by Leicester City and surrendered a two-goal lead against Olympiacos in the Champions League.
The Daily Mail says that Klinsmann, who scored 31 goals in 58 appearances in all competitions across two spells for the north London outfit, would be attracted to the post if it became available, having not been in charge anywhere since he left his role of manager of the USA in 2016.
It would certainly be a risk to appoint the 55-year-old, whose last experience coaching a club side came back in the 2008/09 campaign with Bayern Munich.
Tottenham supporters certainly aren’t keen on their former striker being appointed, with one saying “might as well bring back Martin Jol”, and another saying “Klinsmann will be a disaster like Ole and Sherwood”.
