The ball is now firmly in Marseille's court over whether they sign Nketiah or not. Arsenal are not prepared to move on their asking price and if the French club want to continue bolstering Roberto De Zerbi's attack, they will need to meet the Gunners' demands.

Nketiah has already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with Marseille and is keen to link up with De Zerbi, who is the main driver behind the deal. The 25-year-old only signed a new deal with the north London club in 2022, which has become a stumbling block in getting the deal done.
