The Portuguese international set up Phil Foden with a pass outside the box in the 53rd minute from which the England international scored a stunning long-range goal to restore parity for Manchester City. This was Silva's 37th assist for the Cityzens in the Premier League and with that he equalled Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo's record.

Ten minutes after Foden equalised for the reigning champions, Julian Alvarez handed them the lead from the penalty spot. Silva himself then found the back of the net with a stunning finish in the 86th minute to seal the victory. The former AS Monaco star now has five goals and four assists for the Sky Blues in 16 league appearances in the ongoing season.
