Bild say Liverpool are interested in Werder Bremen’s Milot Rashica.
What’s the story?
According to the German newspaper, the Kosovo international is on the Reds’ radar along with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
They say that Rashica, who has been compared to Alexis Sanchez in the past, has a release clause that currently stands at €38m (£31.8m), per Weser-Kurier (via Bild).
Proven his worth
It has been a struggle of a season for Bremen this time around. The north German club are currently 17th in the Bundesliga, with only Paderborn below them. They have conceded 51 goals so far this campaign, which is the worst in the league, and have scored just 25 times themselves in 22 matches.

Rashica, though, has been one of the few shining lights for Florian Kohfeldt’s side.
In 21 appearances in all competitions, he has managed 10 goals and four assists, with those having come across a number of different attacking positions – he has played on the left wing, at centre-forward and also in attacking midfield. With 1.7 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per match in Germany’s top flight, he has shown he has the ability to trouble a number of top sides in the country – his latest strike came against Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal.
In 2019, he rubbed shoulders with the very best – only Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi had a better goals-per-minute ratio in Europe amongst non-strikers at the beginning of December.

With Bremen staring relegation in the face, he may even come cheaper than his release clause if they drop down to the second tier.
He would unlikely be signed with a view to being a regular starter immediately – Sadio Mane, after all, is Jurgen Klopp’s first choice winger on the left, and rightly so due to his 16 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this term. But as a back-up and with a view to the future – he is just 23 years old – he could be an interesting option.
Meanwhile, this Mesut Ozil-compared youngster is one of the future at Liverpool.
