Saka endured a lengthy injury layoff after sustaining a hamstring issue against Crystal Palace on December 21. He has subsequently missed 12 league fixtures, of which Arsenal have won seven, drawn four and lost one. On Tuesday, though, he made his comeback off the bench, scoring in a 2-1 win over Fulham.

Now, the England winger has posted a touching message thanking Arsenal fans for their support after he was given an incredible reception when coming on as a substitute, and for their reaction to his excellent finish. Arsenal are now nine points behind leaders Liverpool, although the Reds have a game in hand.
