Slot has joined the list of very few managers to win a Premier League title in their first season, with Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Manuel Pellegrini, Claudio Ranieri, and Antonio Conte being the only others to do the same. The Dutchman has now revealed that Klopp was the most famous person to have congratulated him after the feat was achieved.
AFPWHAT SLOT SAID
Speaking to the media, Slot said: “The most famous person to congratulate? I assume that's Jurgen. What did he have to say? What most of them said. So that was congratulations, and now you know how special of a club it is, now you are part of the history as well – those kinds of things.
“He was really happy for me, for the players, for the staff, for the fans, like we all know Jurgen [would be]. Maybe I forget a few, but I think he was the most famous one.”
WHAT NEXT FOR LIVERPOOL?
The Reds' season has pretty much been wrapped up after their Premier League title win, as they are not alive in any other competitions. Slot will now have enough time to kick off their preparations for the next season.
