Following the final, Palmer decided to unwind by exploring a bit of American culture, which included sampling local fast food. However, the experience left him unimpressed. The midfielder was particularly critical of a visit to popular chain Chick-fil-A, singling out one dish that didn’t sit well with his palate.

Palmer is now using his time off to connect with his family history, taking a meaningful trip to the Caribbean island of St Kitts and Nevis. The tropical destination holds special importance for the young footballer, as it is the birthplace of his grandfather, Sterry Palmer. Upon arriving on the island, Palmer was welcomed with open arms by the local community and government officials.
